Stories of Services

As a military spouse, we go wherever the military takes our active duty loved one. We learn how to uproot our lives and replant our home again and again, often at a moment’s notice. It isn’t always easy—but in many ways, it’s a beautiful journey too.
One of our favorite places was little old Okinawa. That move was especially tough because it meant going overseas, far from everything familiar. But once we settled in, began exploring, and even learned to drive on the other side of the road, we truly fell in love with it. Immersing ourselves in a new culture and experiencing new ways of life changed us in the best way.

I am so grateful for what my husband does, and for the opportunities we’ve had to see the world that come with this military life. It’s not always simple, but it is meaningful.
